Meet the experts
Julia Harrison
Over the last 25 years, carving has changed so much about my life. Carving isn’t the only thing I do, but it’s the thing I’m always doing, even when my chisels are nowhere to be seen. There is no other factor in my life that so reliably cultivates patience, humility, courage, and trust. I carve the things I need to think about, and the slow, quiet process allows me to reach new levels of understanding or acceptance.
