Jimothy in the Garden
Hannah VanDuinen
"I loved the photos of Jimothy that captured his face, so I made sure he was turned toward the viewer in my carving. I also wanted him to feel at home, so I made sure his garden was full of plants he'd recognize from the Seattle area. And a few flies came to visit, too - after a raccoon invaded my basement last summer, I know first-hand how pungent their odor tends to be!"
About: I am the artist and owner behind Birds & Blossoms, an art studio I launched during the pandemic. It has provided me with the space I need to indulge my creativity and find my own space in a life predominately focused on raising my children, and in turn I've been able to provide my collectors with pieces that celebrate our shared natural world and help them personalize their space.
