“Witness, Almighty, Jimothy!”
Diego Murillo
From the moment I laid eyes on Jimothy, I knew he was a creature born of magic. I thought it was only right to carve him as a mighty sorcerer. I don’t regularly carve such ridiculousness but when I do it always brings joy to my heart. Sincerely.
My name is Diego and I am a self-taught woodcarver based in Southern California. I have been carving for 3 years now. What started as a fun hobby for me to pass time has turned into a deep love for an ancient craft. As someone who always struggled to communicate their ideas effectively, woodcarving has become my absolute favorite creative outlet to realize those ideas. Understanding the art form and honing my skill is a journey like no other, but I hope to be a master someday! With each carving we all get closer to becoming who we truly are. Because I am my carving and my carving is me :)
